I was 2 weeks past my due date. My doctor had scheduled an induction for 10 p.m. that night, and I still desperately wanted to go into labor on my own. So here I am, the most pregnant woman in the world, walking around the Santa Ana Zoo, trying to convince my baby to fall out. It didn't happen, we showed up for our induction at 10 p.m., and our precious Sylvie Kate was born a mere 28 hours later.
