Sylvie and I rarely make a trip to the mall but when we do, it's one of our most favorite things to do together. Sylvie loves trying on shoes, hats, sunglasses and jewelry. A trip to the mall for her is like playing dress-up but out and about and with somebody else's stuff. One of our favorite places for trying on is Forever 21. They have some CRAZY headbands and jewelry. Today, after buying some new shoes and a new bathing suit (both for Sylvie of course, do moms ever shop for ourselves?), Sylvie took 2 rides on the "up down" horses.
Then it was over to the food court to share a La Salsa burrito, followed by a little time in the play area. If you've never been to the play area at the Lakewood Mall, it's pretty strange. There is a giant slice of watermelon, a giant hot dog, a giant banana, and two giant ladybugs. The only thing that's at all playful or interactive is a tunnel that looks like a spilled soda. Here's Sylvie sitting on the giant banana, and you can kind of see the giant hot dog and giant watermelon slice behind her.
Sylvie has been interested in taking pictures lately and she's getting pretty good! Here's a picture she took of me next to the spilled soda tunnel.
