Crafty Friday: Part Two

A few months ago, I printed out these Olivia finger puppets for Sylvie and asked Thomas to laminate them for me (one of the perks of being married to a teacher - free lamination!) Then when I glued them to popsicle sticks, they slid right off and failed to stick due to the lamination. Whoops.

So we have had some laminated Olivias sitting around and a couple of weeks ago, when we went to Averyboo Arts, I saw the perfect idea for using our laminated Olivias. Owner Natalie had framed a piece of felt and then made little laminated figures that stuck to the felt. An instant felt board - genius!

So today I found the perfect sized frame in the office. [Bye, bye wedding pictures! Funny how life changes with a child, isn't it?]. A little felt and ta-da!
Sylvie and I had a lot of fun with this today. We acted out a couple of our favorite Olivia book scenarios and then Sylvie decided that Olivia was taking a trip to the zoo*.
*For those friends who have been to Irvine Park with us, Sylvie's actually words went something like this: "Oliv. Park. Horses. Zoo. Choo choo. No no no!"
