Wes is HERE!

Sylvie's new friend Wesley was born July 1st, one day after his due date. His arrival was so quick that his mom and dad barely made it to the hospital! This little man knows what he wants already!

Thomas and I snuck off to the hospital for a visit on Thursday while Sylvie was on a Dog Beach & Yogurtland trip with her grandparents and Hank. How beautiful is this family???

This morning, Sylvie and I went to visit Wes at his new house. He is just so precious and perfect. Sylvie has been really practicing her Wesley hold on her Cabbage Patch Kid Eddie Ya-Ya (aka "Naked Eddie"). Even though we had a full day of 4th of July beach fun ahead of us, it was so hard to leave. We can't wait to visit Wes again soon.

While we were there, Sylvie gifted Wesley all of her pacifiers. It was bittersweet for all of us, because it's one of the last real signs of babyhood. So far today, the transition to no paci has been much easier than imagined (although there's nothing like 4th of July to wear a girl out!).
