Pre-Christmas Weekend

Every year it seems the weekend before Christmas is one of the busiest and most fun and this year was no exception! It started Saturday with an airplane party for Sylvie's good friend Aaron's 2nd birthday. Sylvie loved bouncing in the bounce house with Mattie and also really enjoyed the mini burritos.

After Aaron's birthday, Thomas and I dropped Sylvie off at her friend Dylan's house for some girl time while we went to a grown-up 40th birthday party for my cousin, Jeff. Sylvie and Dylan played piano, dollhouse, babies, painted pictures and watched Olivia together. And yes, when we came to pick up Sylvie at 10:30 pm, both girls were still up and at it. Or at least, awake, snuggling and reading books. Thanks so much to Sig for sending me lots of pictures, unfortunately my computer skills are failing me and I can't seem to upload them.

Sunday morning we headed over to Zoe and Darci's house for a Christmas brunch. There was so much good food, including yummy Gingerbread Waffles and Sylvie's favorite holiday treat, hot chocolate. It would have been nice to get a picture of her face with Koa, but she never looked up once from her hot chocolate.

Sunday afternoon was Sylvie's friend Ava's 3rd birthday. Ava's mama made an amazing cake with a Barbie inside and Sylvie said, "whoa, there's a lady on that cake!" We had fun watching Ava open her gifts. She must be a shoe lover like Sylvie, because she got several pairs. Lucky girl.
Sunday night we went to Thomas' family church in Seal Beach to hear Beste sing in the choir for the Christmas concert. Here's our silly girl, ready to head out the door...
