Summer To-Do List

I love lists. I always have a to-do list on my desk and I keep a list of recipes I want to try in the kitchen. So awhile ago I made a "to-do list" of all of the fun things I wanted to do this summer because summer is such a special time for making memories. When I went to post it though, everything went crazy and I gave up. But I figured I would try again. Especially because now that some time has passed I get to do the best part of a to-do list: cross stuff off.

Here are 30 things I hoped/planned to do this summer:

1. Bake and freeze zucchini bread made with zucchinis from our garden.
2. Make homemade ice pops and frozen chocolate-covered bananas.
3. Picnic at an outdoor concert.
4. Visit the Wild Animal Park.
5. Make Agua Fresca and Jamaica.
6. Host a dinner party.
7. Get Sylvie in swim class.
8. Visit Sylvie and Nora's great-grandmother in Norway.
9. Spend a day at Sea World.
10. Freeze tomato sauce made with our garden tomatoes.
11. Hit the beach.
12. Stay up for fireworks.
13. Spend a week in Tahoe with my family.
14. Read a book on Reggio Emilia.
15. Ride a bus (Sylvie's request).
16. Tie-dye t-shirts.
17. Get back to my yoga practice.
18. Dress up and go out to a fancy dinner with Thomas.
19. Jump on a trampoline.
20. Pick berries.
21. Go to the fair to see the giant veggies and baby animals.
22. Have my cousins over for a bar-b-que.
23. Landscape the front yard.
25. Take a kids cooking class.
26. Go to a museum.
27. Have a kitchen clambake.
28. Go bumper bowling.
29. Visit Pretend City.
30. Go to a children's theater production.
