Rosh Hashanah '10

We celebrated Rosh Hashanah on Thursday at our temple's service for families in the park. There was prayer and singing and, of course, apples and honey. After the service, we had a picnic lunch.
And then it was over to the craft tables for some Rosh Hashanah activities.
After the service, we headed home and Sylvie got to work on New Year cards for her family.
And we made Caramelized Onion Tarts with Apples to take over to Grandma and Papa's Rosh Hashanah dinner. This is one of our favorite appetizers, ever since our friends Blythe and Nate brought it to our New Year's Eve dinner.
Then it was time to get fancy for Rosh Hashanah dinner.
Thanks to Grandma and Papa for another delicious Rosh Hashanah dinner. Here are Sylvie and her cousin Matthew polishing it all off with a little chocolate cake.
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy New Year!
