Noah's Ark at the Skirball

On Sunday we visited the Noah's Ark exhibit at the Skirball. I forgot the camera and my cell phone pictures don't do it justice, so check out good pictures here. It's the best interactive exhibit for kids I've ever seen. Everywhere Sylvie and her friend Dylan turned there was something engaging and interesting. They went from creating a rain storm to sending animals up into the ark, to climbing through the ark and operating all kinds of levers and pulleys to make elephant trunks move and skylights open. And all of the animals are made from re-purposed materials like fly swatter feet, hand mixer legs and keyboard zebra manes. It's simply amazing.

In the gift shop we picked up this book. We admit to buying it purely based on its fabulous title but it turns out to be a wonderful book with beautiful water color illustrations.
