February's around the corner so I figured I'd talk about a subject on everyone's mind: Hanukkah and Christmas. What's that you say?** Hanukkah and Christmas are not on your mind? That's strange.
Grandma and Papa's annual Hanukkah party was so much fun. Cousin Amanda and good buddy Logan were there and the kids played and ran wild all night.
Sylvie and I put together these little dreidel kits for the kids and this was the first year the that kids were old enough to really get a good dreidel game going.
Per tradition, Thomas makes the latkes.
We had a fantastic Hanukkah celebration at home as well. Here's a picture of our menorahs lit up on the last night. Papa made Nora a special menorah of her own to match Sylvie's.
Christmas at Besta's was also tons of fun. The first gift the big kids opened was new roller skates and they headed right out to try them on.
When I saw that our favorite author, Mo Willems, came out with a new book called Hooray for Amanda & Her Alligator I knew cousin Amanda had to have it and I made her an alligator to go with it.
The night ended with my favorite Christmas tradition, the cousins in matching PJs.
Thank you so much to everyone, especially grandparents and aunt and uncles, who helped make Nora and Sylvie's holidays so wonderful.
**Or as Nora says approximately 5,000 times per day, "WHAT YOU SAY?"
