Weekending

We spent last Saturday down at the Bay for Koa and Kaneo's birthdays. It's always so nice to be down at the Bay in March. It's not a time we usually think to go but it ends up being so much fun since we haven't been in awhile.
From there we headed over to Sylvie's first soccer game. Sylvie's team uniform is turquoise (her favorite) and her number is 5, which just so happens to be the age she is turning in June. In the uniform department, therefore, Sylvie is THRILLED.
LET'S GO, BLUE SHARKS!
Grandma, Papa, Hank, Besta and Papa Willie all attended. As did Sylvie's #1 fan.
Fortunately we got our beach and soccer in Saturday because the rain came Sunday. We decided to try a honey whole wheat bread recipe I've been hanging on to for over a year, from the awesome book Love Soup by Anna Thomas.

The recipe allows you to make a no-knead dough that you can keep in your fridge all week and make into a loaf and bake anytime you want fresh bread. Why didn't we try this sooner? Today Nora, Sylvie and and I had eggs straight out of the chicken coop (mine and Nora's poached, Sylvie's scrambled) with slices of Sylvie's fresh honey whole wheat.

Sylvie and I agree that a rainy day needs a project (Nora believes that a rainy day needs a nap) so Sylvie asked her Daddy for an old tie and set to work turning it into a snake toy for herself. It was her first time using the hot glue gun.
