Yesterday our friends invited us to a beach potluck to celebrate the new baby their family will welcome in October. Sylvie loves to hang out with her Daddy so she decided she would give boogie boarding a try because Daddy is always out in the water at the beach.
Sylvie doesn't like getting water in her face, but she had to deal with it to boogie board. She loved riding it all the way into the sand, but did not like the one time she flipped off into the water. But she got back on and went for it again. One of my favorite things about parenting is watching my kids meet a challenge head on and then seeing their feeling of accomplishment when they succeed. This was definitely one of those times.
