Dads!

We celebrated Father's Day this year with a lovely afternoon at Grandma and Papa's house. It involved several of Thomas's favorite things: food from Muggy's BBQ, mellow time with his girls and U.S. Open golf. We hope he, Papa and Nagypapa Willie had a wonderful day.

For Sylvie's gifts this year, we bought those 4x6 photo frames that are two frames with a hinge in between. On one side we put a picture of Sylvie and Nora; on the other side we put an interview with Sylvie about that Daddy or Papa. Below are a few pictures from the day, and some of my favorite Q and As from the interviews.
Q: What's Daddy's job?
A: Cleaning around the house and stuff

Q: What does Daddy's face look like?
A: Blue eyes and so cute cheeks

Q: What's Papa's job?
A: Going to yoga with Grandma

Q: Can you describe your Papa?
A: Michael. I love him.

Q: What's Nagypapa's favorite thing to wear?
A: His silver hat

Q: What does Nagypapa's face look like?
A: He has ears and a mustache

Father's Day Part II: Dinner at the Bay

Our dinner at the Bay was so much fun I could scream!

Our friend Koa even stopped by to play and share some watermelon. [Or as Koa, who's billingual said, "agua melon."] It's feeling like summer!

Father's Day Part I: BBQ at Beste's

Father's Day this year started with a BBQ lunch at Beste and Bob's house. Rather than make the dads BBQ, we brought in food from Lucille's so there was no cooking involved for anybody! Sylvie loved the ribs and baked beans, can you tell?
Eating strawberries with Papa was also good...
Uncle Nils and his favorite little lady...
Next, we are off to the Bay for dinner! It's just too beautiful outside to stay in. Happy Father's Day to all of the amazing fathers I know, because I am fortunate to know an awful lot of good ones. And to my own dad, and to Thomas, I can't tell you how grateful I am that you are the wonderful, supportive, kind and loving dads that you are.
