Mrs. Potato Head

Sylvie was so thrilled to get a Mrs. Potato Head from her friend Logan for Hanukkah. It had been on her wish list for awhile, ever since playing with one at her friend Dylan's house. Sylvie is now officially Mrs. Potato Head obsessed! It is starting to feel like we have a second child around here. Because, as it so happens, Mrs. Potato Head is very needy and quite indecisive. Mrs. Potato Head can never seem to make up her mind if she would like her eyeballs on or off? Earrings or no earrings? Mouth or tongue? Glasses and visor? I really never knew having a Mrs. Potato Head would be this exhausting!Check out Sylvie's tank top and denim skirt - it's in the low 80s here today!

A Place to Play

Sylvie is becoming more and more interested in toys and she likes to do what her daddy calls "playing her pants off." But she didn't really have a good spot just for playing, so a trip to Ikea was in order. Witness above Sylvie's new play spot. In the top photo, Sylvie shows her great pleasure with her new play space. In the middle photo, Sylvie and Daddy check out her new Ikea bead rollercoaster. And in the bottom photo, Sylvie shares her new place space with her friend Mattie, because "playing your pants off" is best done with a good friend.

Mr. Buns

Here is Sylvie with her good friend, Mr. Buns. Mr. Buns is a stuffed bunny that was given to Sylvie by our friends the Blackmans. About a month ago, Thomas and I started giving Mr. Buns to Sylvie as a travelling companion. They became such fast friends. At first Sylvie could only grab Mr. Buns by the ears, but now her grabbing skills have improved and she can really wring his neck. Mr. Buns' fur is already getting that matted down look of a very dearly loved friend. When Sylvie is on the road and her pacifier falls out, she will even substitute Mr. Buns' ears in a pinch. Poor Mr. Buns and his wet ears. He is a very good friend indeed.

Special Delivery

Sylvie got a wonderful surprise today. A box of brand new toys came in the mail, sent to her by her cousins Linda, Shannon, Dan and Gwyn. Sylvie got right to work playing with her new soft blocks. Not only are they fun, they are also delicious.
