Sylvie and Her Babies

Sylvie is totally baby crazy. It began with an obsession with her very favorite baby, Eddie, who she has named "Ya-Ya." [We know his real name is Eddie though because he is actually my original Cabbage Patch Kid, so I have the birth certificate to prove it.] Then she started adding Bla Bla to the mix. Bla Bla is an adorable knit doll that our friend Hope gave to Sylvie. The brand name is Bla Bla and because apparently Thomas and I lack creativity, we call it Bla Bla. Then we went to Norway and Thomas' cousin Mona gave Sylvie a doll. We named it Mona (see above re: lack of creativity). Sylvie insists that these babies eat all meals with her. She loves to push them around in her doll stroller. She requests that they all come to Trader Joe's with her. [I limit her to one. She chooses Ya-Ya.] There are days when I feel like I have 4 kids. And then recently, Sylvie has taken it to a whole new level. EXHIBIT 1:That is Sylvie this morning with a stroller full of babies, including Eddie Ya-Ya, a hula statue, an old bowling trophy, and a tape measure. I did help Sylvie balance the bowling trophy because she was frustrated that it kept falling out. But the choice of "babies"? All Sylvie Kate. She is baby obsessed!!
