Renovation: Day Who's Counting Anymore?

OK, it's been 3 weeks. The renovation was supposed to take 2 weeks, but thankfully we have understanding landlords so we were able to extend it one more week and get some more work in. But now we are all totally exhausted and ready to be settled, and can't wait to move in THIS WEEKEND! Hooray!

The bathroom before had a separate bath and shower, but the shower was one of those tiny little ones that you can't even shave your legs in. Our plumber friend Carlos turned our bath into a bath and shower, and Thomas tiled it. Not too shabby for a first timer, don't you think? One day down the road we plan to turn the former shower into a linen closet.
I could have sworn I had a picture of this finished but can't seem to find it, so here's the work in progress. You may recall that there was originally a full wall between the kitchen and dining room that Thomas and his friend Tim (seen here shirtless) demo-ed out half of? Our contractor friend Adam stabilized it for us and then my dad did all of the woodworking and put in a counter top. BEST. DAD. EVER. It looks so great!
Sylvie's room still needs a little touch-up and some baseboards, but you get the idea. Two shades of purple and a chalkboard closet door!
The hardwood floors have been refinished and baseboards are going on! What a difference.
Uncle Nils puts up a light in the yard.
Sylvie climbs a ladder to give her hardworking daddy a big kiss!
