Last Day of Music Class

Wednesday was our last toddler music class. Next week, Sylvie will start going to Miss Rachel's preschool class 2 mornings per week. We are really excited about the transition. We have all been so happy with Rachel's program. Up to now, Sylvie has been going one morning per week and often throughout the rest of the week she tells us about her 5 school friends and the fun things she does with them. Thomas and I are just amazed at how well her transition into the program has gone.

But back to our last music class. This has been such a nice class that both grandmas wanted to come for the last day and our picnic in the park afterwards, which made for a really lovely afternoon. Here Sylvie is playing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" on the glockenspiel* with Grandma while Beste sings along.
* The difference between a xylophone and a glockenspiel, courtesy of Wikipedia. In summary: if it has wooden bars, it's a xylophone; if it has metal bars, it's a glockenspiel or metallophone.
