A Little Winter Harvest

Sylvie and I went out to the garden this afternoon to fertilize and water and, thanks to Sylvie's vigorous weed raking, we discovered that it was time to pick our carrots. For our first batch we planted a small variety of carrots, called Thumbelina. Since it's our first time planting in this soil we wanted to make sure it was good. These carrots are so delicious that I think we are ready to move on to the big guys.

A basket full of Thumbelinas!
Our Little Marvel pea plants are also giving us some yummy peas.
A look at our lettuce. I can't believe how well-behaved the bugs are in our new neighborhood, barely a nibble! [Our cute plant labels were handmade by Chris at Make Thyme.]
