In the afternoon , Sylvie and I did some Hanukkah crafting (it starts Friday!) and some baking. I wanted to bake some tea bread using two really ripe pears we had and I found this Apple Rosemary Tea Bread in my Martha Stewart Living Cookbook. I subbed the pears for the apples and used rosemary from our garden and YUM! Sylvie and I had it for snack with cups of milky decaf chai tea. A perfect rainy day snack.
Dinner was Barefoot Contessa's Chicken Pot Pie. There's nothing better than a cozy family and good comfort food on a rainy night!
