Friday

Last Friday was one of the first days in a long time where Sylvie and I had nothing to do. No plans, no errands. It was so nice to hang out around the house together.

We did something that we have been wanting to do for awhile...turn Sylvie's water table into a sand table for the winter. A $5 bag of play sand and $7 worth of kitchen gear from the 99 Cent store! So much fun!
Sylvie would never dream of having a day home with Mama without a project. We painted our wrapping paper rolls left over from the holidays, and now that they are dry we plan to turn them into, what else? - caterpillars. [Still waiting impatiently for our cocoons to hatch. Just yesterday Sylvie told them, "I wait and wait and wait for you!"]

We baked muffins with our severely over ripe bananas and we did some work in the garden. We planted new carrot seeds, thinned out a few of the plants that I planted waaaay too close together, admired our baby broccoli, and gave all the veggies their "vities." Sylvie also made sure to go to each plant to ask it, "are you happy?" I think everybody is.
