January in Big Bear

Some of our friends were renting a cabin in Big Bear this weekend and since Thomas' family has a cabin in Big Bear we thought we would join them for some fun in the snow. This was the first trip to Big Bear with Sylvie where she really seemed to get all the fun of the snow. She spent Saturday afternoon sledding with her daddy and after each time down the hill said, "Do it again!" I'm not sure how long she could have kept sledding. I think we were out there for about an hour and half and Sylvie was not at all pleased to be going back inside.It was actually a really beautiful, sunny day in the snow. These pictures came out a little bit dark because I was hiding to avoid the bright sun.

Thank you to whoever left this snowman for us! All the fun of sticking the body parts into the snowman with none of the hard work of actually building it!

Saturday night we joined our friends at their rental cabin to partake in their chili and satellite TV. Thanks guys!

Sunday our friend Mattie brought her family over to our cabin for sledding and lunch before hitting the road.

Lots of fun! And then we drove 2 hours back home where it was 76 degrees. Doesn't get much better than that!
