Memorial Weekend

We had a great 4 day weekend and Thomas got in lots of work on house projects, but I did manage to get him out of the house for a little fun. Sunday was our 6th anniversary. This is one of my favorite wedding pictures, because we are just married and heading off to our future. We have no idea there are two precious girls in store for us.
We spent Sunday down at the Bay having a potluck with our friends. Definitely one of our most favorite summer activities. Nora found the Bay very relaxing. I think she's a fan too.
Thomas and I planned to come home, feed the girls, get them tucked in and then make a nice anniversary dinner together. Who were we kidding? After a day at the beach and bedtime, no one was interested in cooking and we shared a romantic bag of popcorn on the couch. But...

Thanks to her Daddy, Sylvie loves using the term "bad boys," so as Sylvie would say, check out these bad boys! Sylvie and I planted carrot seeds in our side yard months ago and then forgot all about them. Thomas was gardening on Monday and discovered that despite our total neglect, we had a whole dinner's worth of carrots!
We are also very busy around here getting ready for a certain young lady to turn the big T-H-R-E-E next Sunday! Below Thomas is building a special present for her. And we are counting down to the big day this week with birthday surprises each day!
