Sylvie and I decided on a dinosaur theme for her 3rd birthday and we had so much fun together planning the details. It was great having a big kid to help with the party prep! We found dino hats for all the friends at Dollar Tree. Here's Sylvie's old buddy Aaron modeling his...

Sylvie and Nora wore matching triceratops shirts made by Alyssa at
Handmade Jig. Alyssa was so incredibly helpful customizing the shirts for us. She e-mailed me so many great samples of "girly dino" logos that I ended up using all of her designs on a paper garland for the party. And as you can see from Sylvie's arms, the kids had fun with dino tattoos.

Our good friend Wes, another fabulous dino hat model...

I picked up some cardboard cut-out T.Rex at Michael's, which the kids collaged.

The surprise Thomas was building for Sylvie was a new sandbox! We filled this baby up with dinosaur skeletons and gave each friend a sand sifter to dig for dino bones.

Grandma and Papa's birthday gift was a new backyard playhouse. Here's Beste checking it out with Cousin Amanda.

We had a water balloon toss, but rather than tossing at each other, everybody tried tossing their water balloons into a hula hoop.

Thomas created a fabulous purple stegosaurus cake for the birthday girl. [Thomas is also wearing a handmade dino shirt, which Sylvie got him for his birthday from Happy Family.]
Even grown-ups got into the dino action...

Nora and Beste cool down inside...

Sylvie had a great time putting together the gift bags for her friends with me. We included dino toys, dino sticker books, dino tattoos, and chocolate dino eggs.
Thanks everybody for celebrating with us!
