We stayed in Incline Village on the eastern side of the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Our first beach day was spent at Burnt Cedar - a private beach that also had a big pool, kids pool and playground. But probably the very best thing Burnt Cedar had was lots of crayfish. Crayfish hunting was a very popular activity there and lots of the local kids had nets. One girl even had a homemade crayfish catcher made out of a hanger with a piece of hot dog on the end. But Sylvie just sent her Daddy and Uncle Rich out into the lake to turn over the rocks on the bottom. They brought back 8 crayfish for her, which made her a very popular kid on the beach.

They had to build a "crayfish resort" out of sand and rocks, since 8 crayfish are a lot to care for.
Beautiful Lake Tahoe...

Nora loved spending shady days at the beach. [Check out Sylvie wearing the same suit.]
We spent our second beach day at Kings State Beach. Not as many crayfish, but also not as many rocks. A perfect beach to do some floating.
