New Wheels

Last Tuesday was my birthday and my parents gave me my mom's old beach cruiser which Dad fixed up for me, complete with a new bell and a Weeride Kangaroo seat for Nora! What fun!

And I'm not the only one with a new set of wheels. Sylvie's beloved trike went out a few weeks ago. She was actually pedaling down the street when all of a sudden  the pedals were just spinning with no connection to the wheels. We came home and Thomas took apart the trike but it seeemed to be past the point of no return. We had been planning to buy Sylvie a big kid bike for Christmas but didn't see any reason to wait 2 months when Sylvie loves riding a bike so much. And once Besta heard Sylvie's sad story, a trip to Toys R Us was immediately arranged and a big kid bike was purchased. Thanks, Besta, for the world's coolest big kid bike!

Now Sylvie and I usually love the rain, but we are pretty grumpy about how much it has rained since we got our new wheels. But believe me, every time the sun comes out and sidewalk dries up, we head out for a ride!
